It is the biggest rumour of all as Manchester City are targeting Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo and would make a world record bid for the player but Real Madrid have set $1 billion buy out clause to protect the prize asset.  Barcelona star Andres Iniesta is also in the shopping list of Manchester City as they are preparing to make a £55 million for the 27 yr old who had a tremendous season with the club and his country. Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola would be unlikely to sell the player since Andres enjoys a huge fan base. Ac Milan Striker Zlatan Ibramovich and Inter's Samuel Eto are already in the shopping list of the italian Roberto Mancini who is backed by his huge spending owners.

Chelsea have been spending huge since it has been taken over by the billionaire Roman Abromovich 8 years ago.But they are yet to taste the success of European glory which they are fighting for. It will be another big spending summer for Chelsea as they are targeting the 29 yr old Brazilian Kaka. Twice, world player of the year have found it hard at the Spanish capital with Real Madrid. And his mom has twitted that he would Chelsea. Real Madrid has shown the green light to Chelsea sign the star provided if they are ready to pay £50 million. Manchester city have also shown interest in signing kaka. While his mother has tweeted that he would be joining Chelsea. But he has rejected the rumor and has said that it is his mom who is moving to London next year as she is a preacher. He wants to at Madrid.

Liverpool will be head to head with Manchester City and Chelsea this season as they are trying to sign up Real Madrid target Hamit Altintop who plays for Bayern Munich.Scott Parker, who had a wonderful season with west ham is a target for liverpool as they are relegated and west ham would be forced to sell 7 other players along with him.King Kenny would be focussing on premiership title as the prime target as he is focussed on it now and would be keen to make the team play in the champions league 2012-13 season. United, City are Champions

Wayne Rooney, was so cool as he converted the spot kick to complete united's dream of their 19th league title. They needed only a draw to be champions and they did just that. Being away from home and it has not been one  of the formidable teams of 1999 era or the Ronaldo's 2007-08 season, with only 5 wins away from home this season it was a bit tough for united but they have clearly proven only one thing i.e. never ever write Manchester United off. The team did not rely on a single player this season as it has been a dream debut for Xavier Hernandez, come back man Rooney was rock solid in the latter part of the season, Nani was the key man in many of the key matches, Giggs never ever gets older, Berbatov being a goal scoring machine, Vidic has been rock solid and the same with this man Sir Alex Ferguson.

Apart, from Ferguson the manager who who has ended the season on a high note is Roy Hodgson. After having a disappointing time at anfield where he was sacked in january, he has managed West Bromwich from clutches of relegation to safety with one more match remaining. Meanwhile, at stamford bridge owned by the russian Roman Abromovich there has been 6 managerial changes in 8 seasons and in summer there have been major speculatioins that there will be a revamp in the side. The gunners have been up and down throughout the season with major goal keeper worries and also at the back four with Wenger having no idea to let up his idea of not spending big on transfers. Liverpool have played threatning football after the arrival of Luiz Suarez under King Kenny but their loss to tottenham yesterday at home would be disappointing especially after spurs missing key players out with injury. While at the bottom, West ham are the first casualty being relegated after loss to wigan 3-2 after leading 2-0 and as a result manager Avram Grant being sacked an hour later after the result. Fate of the other two teams will be decided on the final day of the premiership.

Its Manchester City after 35 years

Money Bankers, Manchester City defeated stoke city to win 1-0 the fa cup to see off their first piece of silverware in 35 years. Yaya toure scored the winner for the citizens, who had a great week by securing a finish in top four and securing their champions league playoffs. Toure also had scored the winner for city against their arch rivals Manchester United in the semis. Atlast, Mancini had something to cheer about. Now united can take the banner down from old trafford which mocks city being without any silverware for years. Hope tevez wont leave the club and Mancini should not be sacked. So, the next season would be a thrilling battle for the premiership with 6 teams fighting for it.

My First Blog Starting With Soccer

Hi mates, as the title says it all. This is my first blog post and I wanna convey it formally that my blog is completely dedicated to sports.

Let me start of with the most popular league in the world, Barclays Premier League popularly known as the Premiership. Its the penultimate weekend for the Premier League season 2010-11 and the title is certainly heading towards old trafford but the relegation zone is much more interesting and heading towards a dramatic climax with six teams desperately fighting to stay in top flight football. Before the start of the season football pundits had almost written united off. But the Red Devils have clearly proved that they are the team to beat as they went 29 game unbeaten before wolverhampton ended their dream of going through the entire season unbeaten at Molineux. With only two games to go united travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn owned by an Indian company Venkateshwara Hatcheries Group and are just three points away from relegation. A draw would would see off united lifting their 19th league title but anything less than a draw would be disatrous for blackburn. United would play a shadow of their team next week when blackpool visit them if it wins the title today, reason the champions league final against the catalonian giants Barcelona. Tottenham travel to Anfield this weekend to give us a spectacular match as they both fight for the 5 th place with only two points separating the two teams. Liverpool inspired by king kenny are the favourites for this tie as their mid season transfers in the form of Suarez and carroll are proving the worth for their money.

Now let us see the other half as the two bottom teams wigan face west ham at DW stadium where a win would be the most crucial for both the teams. So hope it would be a nail biting finish for the bottom teams as only 6 points differentiate the bottom 6 teams with blackburn visitng molineux to face wolves. So, the Most Beautiful Game has much more beautiful to offer in the form of the premiership. Three key battles to look ahead this weekend in premiership:

  •   Blackburn versus Man Utd
  •   Wigan versus West Ham
  •   Liverpool versus Tottenham

Fa Cup Final: Manchester City Versus Stoke City

While in Wembley, Manchester City face stoke to fight for the oldest associaton football competition, F.A cup. A victory for either teams a golden chapter being added to their history. Money Bankers Manchester are the firm favourites for this match as their captain Carlos Tevez has returned from a hamstring injury. So today will be a special day with a whole bunch of memories for the players which they can showcase for the rest of their lives.
