United, City are Champions

Wayne Rooney, was so cool as he converted the spot kick to complete united's dream of their 19th league title. They needed only a draw to be champions and they did just that. Being away from home and it has not been one  of the formidable teams of 1999 era or the Ronaldo's 2007-08 season, with only 5 wins away from home this season it was a bit tough for united but they have clearly proven only one thing i.e. never ever write Manchester United off. The team did not rely on a single player this season as it has been a dream debut for Xavier Hernandez, come back man Rooney was rock solid in the latter part of the season, Nani was the key man in many of the key matches, Giggs never ever gets older, Berbatov being a goal scoring machine, Vidic has been rock solid and the same with this man Sir Alex Ferguson.

Apart, from Ferguson the manager who who has ended the season on a high note is Roy Hodgson. After having a disappointing time at anfield where he was sacked in january, he has managed West Bromwich from clutches of relegation to safety with one more match remaining. Meanwhile, at stamford bridge owned by the russian Roman Abromovich there has been 6 managerial changes in 8 seasons and in summer there have been major speculatioins that there will be a revamp in the side. The gunners have been up and down throughout the season with major goal keeper worries and also at the back four with Wenger having no idea to let up his idea of not spending big on transfers. Liverpool have played threatning football after the arrival of Luiz Suarez under King Kenny but their loss to tottenham yesterday at home would be disappointing especially after spurs missing key players out with injury. While at the bottom, West ham are the first casualty being relegated after loss to wigan 3-2 after leading 2-0 and as a result manager Avram Grant being sacked an hour later after the result. Fate of the other two teams will be decided on the final day of the premiership.

Its Manchester City after 35 years

Money Bankers, Manchester City defeated stoke city to win 1-0 the fa cup to see off their first piece of silverware in 35 years. Yaya toure scored the winner for the citizens, who had a great week by securing a finish in top four and securing their champions league playoffs. Toure also had scored the winner for city against their arch rivals Manchester United in the semis. Atlast, Mancini had something to cheer about. Now united can take the banner down from old trafford which mocks city being without any silverware for years. Hope tevez wont leave the club and Mancini should not be sacked. So, the next season would be a thrilling battle for the premiership with 6 teams fighting for it.
