My First Blog Starting With Soccer

Hi mates, as the title says it all. This is my first blog post and I wanna convey it formally that my blog is completely dedicated to sports.

Let me start of with the most popular league in the world, Barclays Premier League popularly known as the Premiership. Its the penultimate weekend for the Premier League season 2010-11 and the title is certainly heading towards old trafford but the relegation zone is much more interesting and heading towards a dramatic climax with six teams desperately fighting to stay in top flight football. Before the start of the season football pundits had almost written united off. But the Red Devils have clearly proved that they are the team to beat as they went 29 game unbeaten before wolverhampton ended their dream of going through the entire season unbeaten at Molineux. With only two games to go united travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn owned by an Indian company Venkateshwara Hatcheries Group and are just three points away from relegation. A draw would would see off united lifting their 19th league title but anything less than a draw would be disatrous for blackburn. United would play a shadow of their team next week when blackpool visit them if it wins the title today, reason the champions league final against the catalonian giants Barcelona. Tottenham travel to Anfield this weekend to give us a spectacular match as they both fight for the 5 th place with only two points separating the two teams. Liverpool inspired by king kenny are the favourites for this tie as their mid season transfers in the form of Suarez and carroll are proving the worth for their money.

Now let us see the other half as the two bottom teams wigan face west ham at DW stadium where a win would be the most crucial for both the teams. So hope it would be a nail biting finish for the bottom teams as only 6 points differentiate the bottom 6 teams with blackburn visitng molineux to face wolves. So, the Most Beautiful Game has much more beautiful to offer in the form of the premiership. Three key battles to look ahead this weekend in premiership:

  •   Blackburn versus Man Utd
  •   Wigan versus West Ham
  •   Liverpool versus Tottenham

Fa Cup Final: Manchester City Versus Stoke City

While in Wembley, Manchester City face stoke to fight for the oldest associaton football competition, F.A cup. A victory for either teams a golden chapter being added to their history. Money Bankers Manchester are the firm favourites for this match as their captain Carlos Tevez has returned from a hamstring injury. So today will be a special day with a whole bunch of memories for the players which they can showcase for the rest of their lives.
